In Act One, Anna talks about how she and Kate "sat up half the nights reading Yeats." William Butler Yeats was, of course, Irish-- like Deeley. He was deeply interested both in the mythology and folklore of Ireland and in the politics surrounding the independence struggles that came to fruition in 1922.
